Kimberly Introduction

Related to Guy, a classic character in Final Fight with apparitions in Street Fighter, Kimberly shares a lot of his style, but she also uses unique tools and objects, like fireworks and spray cans. These allow Kimberly to create unexpected entries and set up traps or combo extenders.

She’s relentless and has too many tools to keep in mind at once. But with patience and a lot of practice, you’ll find a character that gives you many offensive options that will leave your opponent guessing all the time.

Kimberly Best Tips

Bushin Senpukyaku (QCB + K) is one of Kimberly's key special moves. This is a Tatsu similar to Ryu’s and Ken’s flying kicks, with the key difference that it goes up instead of sideways. It can be used as an anti-air and to end combos with relative ease.

Please note that contrary to what was the case in the game’s betas, this move is no longer invulnerable on wake-up.

Another thing that you should learn how to use properly as soon as possible is Sprint (QCF + K). This is a versatile move that gives you different ways of dealing with the enemy, like low attacks, flying kicks, and throws. OD Sprint can lead to a wall bounce when using the grab.

Shuriken Bomb (Down, Down, P) normally gives you only one stock, but the OD version gives you two. You can then throw them at the same time and try to mess with your rival having one close to you and the other far away. It will be a good moment to run toward your opponent or wait to see what they do.

You can throw a bomb and immediately grab the opponent and the explosion will hit them right in time, launching them in the air and leaving them exposed for a follow-up.

When you already understand more or less what you can do with most of Kimberly’s special moves, you can start adding Hidden Variable (QCB + P) to the equation. You need to mix the two main versions of this move: the one that leaves you in front of the enemy (L and M), and the one that leaves you above them (H and OD). Use them to attack someone when they less expect it.
